Thanks Margaret and Rick for a fabulous stay. It really exceeded our expectations and really is a luxury gite. Everything inside the gite is beautifully presented and of high quality. Outside there are wonderful areas to relax and eat and the pool is fab. But what really makes it is Margaret and Rick being so generous and friendly. We really felt at home and would come back without hesitation. For anyone looking to book this place, you really can't go wrong. Thanks again guys for a fantastic week. Wish we had stayed longer!

This so very special place, truly deserves the adjective of luxury. Everything was beautifully presented, the interior design was thoughtfully conceived from the cool Whites and dove greys of the master bedroom with statement shower, to the greys and mustards of the sitting room to reflect coast, land and sunflowers that dot this scenic region of Charante Maritime. The master bedroom ( garden room) also has its own patio , with canopy to provide shade and table and chairs for a morning read. No overcrowding here... Lots of space for all to relax and do your own thing!
Nothing has been overlooked here, flowers and wine on arrival, tea lights for warm summer evenings dining outside and white robes and slippers for padding around the pool .
The pool is large, clean and well kept, with plenty of inflatables to keep the kids entertained. Also plenty too of sun loungers and a table for dining.
The villa is near enough to make La Rochelle, the Ile d Re and Ile de Aux easily accessible. Locally Aurlay and Jean d Angeley are worth visiting for a half day saunter around the markets there.
Thank you for such a lovely stay, your generosity and warmth of welcome will be something we will always look back on as a treasured memory from this holiday.

There is so much to do in the area:cycling,kayaks,walks,fishing and the beach(Royan a great day out). Or do nothing by the pool...

We had a wonderful holiday at the cottage and cant wait to go back! The cottage is beautiful, extremely comfortable and the facilities were second to none. It is a peaceful, tranquil and completely relaxing place. Everything was provided to keep us entertained - a great sized pool, table tennis, bikes and a pool table (to name a few!). The owners Margaret and Richard were amazing hosts- so welcoming and kind. They had a wealth of information of places to visit and things to do. They really could not have gone out of their way any more to make our holiday truly special.
